The Autumn Festival

The Autumn Festival is one of the best events at Peace Terrace.  Alhamdulillah we have a wonderful opportunity to get together as a community to have some fun.  We are so grateful to all of the folks who attended and spent their day with us and our team of volunteers who made the event so special.

The Prophet’s (peace and blessings upon him) favorite foods booth was a huge hit among the young and old.  A heart warming experience in this month of Rabi ul awwal.  May Allah increase us in love for our beloved.

Amazing vendors who brought clothing, honey, hijabs, ceramics, jewelry, and so much more.

The world’s best NACHOS, biryani, haleem, pallow, burgers, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, shaved ice, caramel apples, fruit stand, pizza, a tea & dessert stand, and loads of other treats were shared and enjoyed.

Oh so many fun activities for the whole family!

Photo Booth portraits!

A special thanks to Vice Mayor, Raj Salwan, the Fremont Police Dept, and the Fremont Fire Dept for attending and spending time with the kiddos!

Lastly but not leastly, thank you to all of our volunteers and organizers.  You all are AMAZING & OUTSTANDING!  A special thanks to Ms. Tahira for all of the art work and signs, Ms. Zolaikha & Ms. Nargis for their extraordinary organization & shopping skills!

Class of 2019

Congratulations to the class of 2019!  MashaAllah, families and friends came together on the 24th of May to celebrate the accomplishments of these beautiful young people.  May Allah give them every success.

Among the bougainvilleas, in a garden with fountains, we came together to celebrate the end of one journey and the beginning of another.

Arrival, address from Principal Homaira, and keynote speech by Ustadh Mahdi Amine.  He emphasized love and respect for parents throughout his whole speech mashaAllah.

Awards for the Hifdh students.  MashaAllah they completed memorization of the entire Qur’an while simultaneously attending their classes in language and math.

Honor roll cords and the award for valedictorian presented to Sumayya S.  We’re so proud of these young men and women, mashaAllah.

The graduates!  MashaAllah!

And we all celebrated together!  May Allah continue to keep our intentions for His sake and continue to unite our hearts in the common purpose of raising well educated, well mannered, and well balanced children.

Science Fair: 1st-5th

The Science Fair projects for our 1st -5th grade students is a day of discovery and sharing of knowledge.  Each grade has a theme and create projects based on that theme.  Students get to learn about the scientific process and  presentation skills in a non-competitive manner to prepare them for our Jr. High Science program.

The first graders learned about the wind, wind direction, and how to tell if a storm is coming.  MashaAllah, they created their own versions of weather vanes.

Second graders used their engineering skills to make simple machines using recycled materials.  Their inventions were quite fascinating!

The third grade class learned about air pollution and the importance of keeping our air quality pure.  The compared air quality from their city with that of a city in another country.

Self propelled cars was the order of the day for 4th grade.  Very creative engineering ideas.

The 5th graders learned many lessons in physics by creating their own roller coasters.  Converting potential energy to kinetic energy never looked so good!

Girls & Soccer

These girls!

They are pretty special.  So, far they’ve won every game of the season and mashaAllah have come a long way as a team in the past few months.  Today, in the first half of the game they were losing!  Their spirits were low as they were playing a very strong team and were feeling defeated.

But then they came together, recited Sura Al Fatiha and made the intention to score two points which would put them in the lead!  And that’s exactly what they did!  We are so very proud of them and are eagerly waiting for the finals!

Gold Rush Day

Did you know that the 4th graders plan a Gold Rush Day each year?  What a wonderful way to bring history to life?  They dig for gold, sell their gold so that they can purchase food and buy other goods.  At each station they get to experience history and experience life as a miner during the Gold Rush.

It is such a pleasure to see parents helping out each year and making this day truly memorable.  Way to go Ms. Sarwat for making this happen every year, we must admit, the corn on the cob is delicious!
